The "A" in ARCAM stands for amplification, where our expertise lies. The A5+ is the latest in nearly 50 years of amplifier design and manufacture, dating back to our first product in 1976 —the A&R Cambridge A60 amplifier. Since the launch of the award-winning ARCAM Radia A5, we haven't rested. Our engineering team pushed further to create the ARCAM A5+, an even better sounding and more versatile integrated amplifier.

The A5+ features an enhanced power supply design and cutting-edge wireless capabilities straight out of the box. Snapdragon Sound delivers uncompressed digital audio via Bluetooth, while Auracast enables multiple compatible headphones or speakers to share music wirelessly, with no pairing required.

With a wide array of digital and analogue inputs, including a meticulously tuned phono stage, the A5+ ensures impeccable sound quality for everything from vinyl to streaming.

How much power does the A5+ deliver to my speakers?

It produces around 2 × 50 W of power into 8 Ω speakers (and approximately 75 W into 4 Ω), sufficient to drive most bookshelf and stand-mount speakers with ease.

What kind of amplification does it use?

The A5+ uses Class AB amplification, known for combining musical detail with robust dynamic control — a traditional choice for high-quality hi-fi performance.

Does the A5+ support Bluetooth and wireless audio?

Can I connect a turntable to the A5+?

Yes. The A5+ includes a built in moving magnet phono stage, so you can connect a turntable directly without any external phono preamp.

Can I connect this amplifier to my TV?

Yes. The A5+ has digital optical and coaxial inputs that allow you to connect your TV directly for improved sound quality compared to built in TV speakers.

Does it have a headphone output?

Yes. There is a front mounted headphone jack for private listening.

Can I connect a CD player or a music streamer to the A5+?

Yes. You can connect both. Any CD player or streamer with optical, coaxial, or analog RCA outputs will work. The built in DAC supports up to 24 bit 192 kHz audio.

What are the advantages of Auracast on this amplifier?

Auracast lets you broadcast the audio to more than one compatible headphone or speaker at the same time. You do not need to pair each device manually.

Does the A5+ include auto standby or energy saving features?

Yes. It will automatically switch to standby if no signal is detected for a period of time. This helps reduce power use when the system is idle.
