Product Overview
The Technics SL-1210MKX is a professional direct-drive DJ turntable built for club, festival and touring use. It sits above the SL-1210MK7 as the new top model in the SL-1200 Series. Technics developed it with input from working DJs and sound engineers, focusing on the problems DJs face in loud rooms with deep bass and long sets.
The MKX weighs 11.9 kg, 2.4 kg more than the MK7. Together with wider isolation feet, that extra mass resists vibration and acoustic feedback, so DJs can run higher volumes and heavier EQ without losing the stable, direct feel that scratch and performance DJs need. A new Hyper Pitch system adds a ±4% range for fine beatmatching and a ±50% range for creative mixing and turntablism.
The “X” stands for Extreme and Expert. Released for the 55th anniversary of the SL-1200 Series, the MKX pairs a black finish with a polished silver tonearm, a nod to the SL-1200MK2.
