In a word, YES! Spectacular lossless sound of DTS HD on blu-ray leaves the lossy, compressed Dolby Digital in the Dust.
Do you have wireless systems for sound?
Yes, wireless systems are available for different applications. Wireless streaming of analog stereo (ie. Wireless rear speakers) right up to wireless distribution through-out your entire home (ie. Sonos Wireless Music System)

All speakers have their own sonic fingerprint (eg. mellow, forward sounding, neutral..) I would suggest looking up reviews on your speakers (Good reviews will give an indication of the speakers sonic characteristics) You could then try to match them with a current model. Our sales staff can help you with this. In our dedicated listening area you can listen to some of our current speakers. Matching speakers depends on personal tastes, so the only way to truly match them is to listen, carefully.
When troubleshooting an unknown problem with any series of devices, it is important to isolate each element. In this case, power down and disconnect the pre-amp. Take an mp3 player or any other stereo source, reduce the volume completely, and connect it to a single input on the amplifier. Power the amp on, then slowly increase the volume of the source until you get a clear speaker response. Reduce the volume of the source, power off the amp, and repeat with each channel. This will identify any problems with the amplifier. By process of elimination this will determine if the problem is amp or pre-amp related. In some cases, troubleshooting an unknown issue can be confusing and complicated. If you feel like you are in over your head, you can contact us and arrange for a service call.

Do you sell DLP (Digital Light Processing) TV's?
Samsung has retired their DLP Television product lines as of the 2008 product line-up. This is due to a few reasons, mainly issues with the "rainbow effect". LCD, Plasma, and DLP were all competing technologies to replace CRT. In the early versions of LCD and Plasma, DLP had superior size, colour and contrast. Plasma and LED/LCD's have since then far surpassed the abilities of DLP. DLP is still available in some video projectors, however it is being replaced with LCD by most manufactures.
What is the difference between LCD and LED televisions?
LED TVs are technically a member of the LCD TV family. The display screen on a LED is a liquid crystal display the same as it is on any other LCD TV. The main difference between the two lies with different backlighting techniques. Traditional LCDs use flourescent lighting from tubes along the top and sides of the display. LED TVs use Light Emitting Diodes to light the LCD panel. There are LED TVs that have a panel of LED lights behind the LCD panel (LED Array with Local Dimming). In some high end models, the LEDs are tri-colored and can be controlled in banks. In other models the LED lights are surrounding the edge of the panel (Edge Lit) This arrangement allows for the very slim depth of those models. Without the ability to do local dimming these are functionally similar to traditional LCD televisions.
Do you recommend a certain gauge or quality for speaker cables?
We recommend purchasing speaker wire that will not be the weak link in your home entertainment system. That may mean $1.50/ft for a more modest system but could be $50/ft or more for a top of the line system.

Do I need Hi Definition cable for my new HD TV?
Technically no! However picture quality would be below average. There are several video connection standards, both analog and digital. S-Video and Composite video do not support high definition. You must use Component video, HDMI or DVI for HD content to be displayed properly. S-Video, Composite Component, and DVI (-a) are analog, while HDMI and DVI (-d & -i) are digital connectors.
